Bastion Deathmatch Isle

Born from a wild hair of an idea I had to run Deathmatch Island with in the world of Electric Bastionland with the wonderful oddness that it is. I ran a one shot game of this at Go Play NW 2025  and it was a riot of a game!

The mashup works really well as both games are basically odd dungeon crawls with randomly generated characters that are not heroes by nature. Both games also lean heavy  narratively and mechanically on items rather than powers or abilities.

The single page PDF explains how to take an Electric Bastionland (or Into the Odd) character and convert them into slightly modified Deathmatch Island game mechanics. You can use any island and cast recolored with the Bastionland odd fantasy flair, though the New Horizons supplement extra Folk Island is odd enough to be mostly run as is.
